The Joy of Sharing - A Short Moral Tale of a Bird Stories for Teenagers English Moral Story
The Joy of Sharing
On the edge of a bright green forest, where dew sparkled like tiny diamonds on the grass, lived a little bluebird named Bella. She was quick as the wind, cheerful as a song, and always curious about what each new day might bring.

Every morning, Bella flew above the treetops and greeted the world.
“Good morning, sun!” she chirped.
“Good morning, flowers!”
“Good morning, sleepy forest!”
Most of the animals smiled when they heard her voice. But one morning, as Bella fluttered down to look for breakfast, she noticed someone who did not smile back.
Under a great old oak tree sat Sammy the squirrel.
Sammy had a soft brown coat, bright eyes, and a tail so fluffy it looked like a feather duster. Around him were neat little piles of acorns, walnuts, and pine nuts. He had gathered more food than anyone else in that part of the forest.
Yet Sammy did not look proud.
He looked lonely.
Bella tilted her head. “Good morning, Sammy. Why do you look so sad on such a lovely day?”
Sammy poked an acorn with one paw. “I have plenty to eat,” he said quietly, “but somehow that doesn’t make today feel special.”
Bella hopped closer. “Why not?”
Sammy gave a small sigh. “Because everything is nicer when you have someone to enjoy it with.”
For a moment, Bella was silent. Then her eyes twinkled.
“I have an idea,” she said. “Let’s make today special together.”
A Picnic Plan
Bella flew off in a streak of blue, searching the bramble bushes for the ripest berries in the forest. She picked the juiciest blackberries, the reddest strawberries, and a few sweet wild cherries. She carried them carefully, one small trip at a time.
Meanwhile, Sammy chose the best from his collection—round acorns, crunchy hazelnuts, and pine nuts with a buttery taste. He even brushed away the leaves from a patch of grass in a sunny clearing.
By the time Bella arrived, the clearing looked ready for a feast.
A breeze rustled the leaves overhead. Daisies nodded in the grass. Sunlight spilled across the ground in warm golden patches.
Bella set down her berries proudly. “What do you think?”
Sammy’s face lit up. “I think it looks wonderful.”
They sat together and began to eat.
At first, they simply nibbled and smiled. Then Bella told Sammy about the things she saw while flying high above the trees.
“I saw a silver stream twisting through the forest like a ribbon,” she said. “And I saw a family of rabbits hopping in a circle as if they were dancing!”
Sammy laughed. “From the ground, I miss all of that. But I know secret places you’d never find from the sky.”
“Oh?” Bella asked.
Sammy leaned in. “There’s a hollow log near the ferns where mushrooms grow in a perfect ring. And behind the hill, there’s a little patch where the sweetest nuts fall first.”
Bella’s eyes widened. “You must show me someday.”
“I will,” said Sammy.

And just like that, the quiet clearing filled with chatter, giggles, and the easy feeling of two new friends discovering they liked each other very much.
A Small Surprise
As they ate, Sammy noticed something strange.
The berries tasted sweeter than berries usually did.
The nuts seemed crunchier than ever before.
Even the breeze felt softer.
He looked at Bella. “This is odd.”
Bella blinked. “What is?”
Sammy smiled. “My food tastes better today.”
Bella let out a cheerful laugh. “That’s because you’re not eating alone.”
Sammy looked down at the little feast between them. He thought about all the times he had sat beside his piles of food, guarding them carefully, with no one to talk to and no one to laugh with.
He had always believed that having more was what mattered most.
But now, with half his acorns gone and berry juice on the grass, his heart felt fuller than ever.
“You were right,” Sammy said softly. “Sharing really does make things better.”
Bella nodded. “When we share food, we don’t just share what we have. We share happiness too.”
Sammy repeated the words in his mind, as if tucking them away like a treasure.
A Tradition Begins
The sun slowly drifted lower, painting the forest in orange and pink. Shadows stretched long across the clearing.
Sammy did not feel lonely anymore.
In fact, he felt lighter than he had in a very long time.
“Bella,” he said, “would you like to do this again tomorrow?”

Bella fluffed her feathers happily. “Tomorrow, and the day after that too.”
Sammy grinned. “Next time, maybe we can invite others.”
Bella chirped with delight. “Yes! The more friends, the more joy.”
From then on, the sunny clearing became a special place. Bella and Sammy met there often, bringing whatever they had—berries, seeds, nuts, or simply a good story.
Soon, other animals joined them too. A rabbit brought clover, a hedgehog brought apples, and even a shy little mouse came one afternoon with a single grain she wanted to share.
No one laughed at how small her offering was.
Because by then, everyone in the forest had learned the same lesson:
A shared meal, no matter how simple, can make hearts feel full.
And whenever Sammy looked at his food stores after that, he no longer thought only of keeping them.
He thought of friendship.
He thought of laughter.
He thought of Bella’s bright voice saying, “Let’s make today special together.”
